Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for development projects worth approximately ₹2,200 crore, during his visit to Varanasi on Saturday.
These projects, which aim to improve connections, change urban landscapes, and enhance the quality of life in the holy city, encompass important sectors like infrastructure, education, healthcare, tourism, urban development, and cultural preservation.
PM Modi arrived in Varanasi around 11 AM to kickstart the initiatives, which are set to drive holistic growth and preserve the region’s heritage while promoting modern amenities.
A day before his visit, the Prime Minister took to X and posted in Hindi, “August 2nd is a very special day for my family members in Kashi. Around 11 AM tomorrow, I will inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for several projects related to education, health, sports, tourism, and connectivity. On this occasion, I will also have the honour of releasing the 20th installment of the PM-Kisan scheme.”
